UH-1D helicopter is from the "SocTrang Tigers", a unit located near Saigon and routinely supported Mobile Riverine Force operations in the Mekong Delta.
|

Notice the helicopter rotor wash kicking up the muddy brown Mekong water. This was accomplished when sculpting the water with paper-mache and using a end of a teaspoon to mold the waves.

The figures were created from many different parts from the spare parts box.

My favorite photograph. The entire diorama was massive and had to be
enclosed in a glass display case. I hope Mr. Hennessey enjoys my work as

The engine froth on the stern, and bilge pump water exiting from the
side of the boat were made with Muilput and simple household wall spackle. BACK TO TOP
